Conferences
Waycross is a year round center, hosting residential & day conferences, retreats, meetings, and events for both adults and youth with unique facilities. It is a place set apart, where one can find physical and spiritual refreshment and renewal in a setting of Christian hospitality and service.
Waycross has ideal spaces for conferences, youth events and family programs. We offer 43 double occupancy rooms (39 with private baths, 4 with shared baths) 32 in our contemporary Conference Center and the rest in our comfortable Main House Lodge/Sleeping Wing.
Family and youth groups often enjoy our more rustic community cabin setting, which includes 10 winterized cabins, 100 beds, and a shared bathhouse. Thirteen meeting spaces of all sizes can accommodate groups ranging in size from 12 to 180. All areas are wheelchair accessible including common meeting spaces and activity buildings. The Conference Center is a contemporary, upscale building with double occupancy for up to 64 conference guests in 32 rooms, with youth and family use occupancy accommodating a slightly higher number of guests.
Main House Lodge/Sleeping Wing
The original two-story Main House Lodge and Sleeping Wing together, accommodate 42 guests. Options range from single to quadruple occupancy with shared and private bathrooms.
The cabins are more of a rustic choice that includes bunk bed accommodations for 100 guests in 10 cabins. Close enough for community and separated enough for privacy, each cabin has screened windows all around, five double-deck bunk beds, a dressing room and a small covered porch. This space is ideal for youth and family programs.
For groups of up to 180 there is the Multi-use Assembly Building. The Assembly Building has one large room and three smaller rooms that are ideal for small group break out space. Also in the Assembly Building is our fully stocked Arts and Crafts Studio.
For a small rustic secluded retreat Hickory Hill Retreat House is a perfect option. Located on Hickory Hill and away from the daily action of the Conference Center, guests at Hickory Hill have immediate access to miles of hiking trails and their own kitchen for preparing meals as a group.
Reservations are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. Waycross makes every effort to communicate with Episcopal groups and provide them the right of first refusal for annually scheduled events.
